Synthesis has unparalleled real-world, hands-on experience in the field of sustainable project planning, design and construction practices. Two of the principals of Synthesis, with Masters Degrees in Environmental Engineering, have worked in many aspects of the environmental and energy field since the 1970’s and have published many related articles, papers and publications.
We work with each of our clients to consider the extent to which their buildings should incorporate green and sustainable features and to assess the initial costs, operating cost savings and environmental benefits associated with these elements. We also help our clients by managing the LEED evaluation and certification process for their buildings.
The demonstrated experience and commitment of Synthesis to sustainable design and construction practices and renewable energy is extensive, including Project Management for the development of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Headquarters and Environmental Center. This award-winning project was the first project ever to receive a LEED Platinum Certification by the US Green Building Council and is internationally recognized as an outstanding example of environment friendly design principles.
