Project Description

WASHINGTON LATIN PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL

Washington, D.C.

The Washington Latin Public Charter School, established in 2006 for students in grades 5 through 8, moved from a temporary space people on Massachusetts Avenue to an existing three story, 50 year old 16,370 square foot school building on 16th Street, NW at Upshur.

Renovations to the building included converting an existing apartment on the lower level into school offices and additional classrooms and the installation and connection of 4 portable classrooms to the main building. Numerous structural alterations to all stories of the existing building were required to bring the building into code and ADA compliance for its use as a school.

“Without a doubt, I would recommend Synthesis. Every time I ask Bob to help there is always too little time and too little money. And, every time, Bob steps forward in his competent, calm and focused way and gets the job done.”
