The Greenebaum Cancer Center is an ambulatory clinic and infusion area for medical oncology and bone marrow transplant patients.

Located on the ground floor of the main hospital’s north wing, this project renovated space previously occupied by other hospital functions and built a new addition onto the renovated space to create the 30,000 square foot Center. The prior users were relocated, the existing space was demolished and, combined with the addition, the entire space became the new Cancer Center.

Other aspects of the project ancillary to creation of the Center included relocation of the hospital’s outpatient pharmacy and reconfiguration of its main in-patient pharmacy.

“Synthesis has worked with UMMC on many projects and has added value to each. . . . They held us to both deadline and budget on the Cancer Outreach Project and were excellent working with the physicians and academics who wanted to delve into the review process ad nauseam.”
Joanne Riley, Vice President, Ambulatory Services, University of MD Medical Center
