A 52,088 square foot industrial flex space was transformed into a large church with a 1,200 seat auditorium sanctuary, a 6,000 square foot lobby, classrooms and other educational space, meeting rooms and offices.
Phase I included everything except the auditorium. Phase II involved creating raked seating in the lower bowl and stadium seating in the back of the 23 foot high auditorium. Four interior columns were removed to improve sight lines. The column removal involved an innovative mast and above roof tension rod support system for the existing roof structure. Professional theatrical lighting and sound systems were also installed.
In the period during construction on the auditorium, the church occupied the remainder of the building, conducting services in the lobby and sending video feeds to an adjacent 250 seat meeting room.
